Making My Pool Even More Beautiful

After years of having a pool, I could tell that it really needed a little tender loving care. I started talking with different pool contractors, and I was able to find a professional who could help. He worked with me to completely renovate the entire deck that surrounded the pool, and then he even helped me to balance the chemicals. I was really impressed with how much better things became, and after it was finished I felt like my pool looked brand new. I wanted to start a new website all about creating a gorgeous pool, because I know how much of a difference a great backyard can make.

5 Ways To Customize Your Swimming Pool

If you're thinking about having a swimming pool installed in your backyard, you may already be aware that today's swimming pool options aren't limited to the traditional rectangles of the past. Modern swimming pools come in all shapes and sizes as well as many customization options. Following are just four of the ways you can customize your swimming pool in order to maximize your enjoyment.

Add a Hot Tub

Few things are nicer at the end of a swim than relaxing in a soothing hot tub. You can opt to have a stand-alone hot tub created, or you can also have a hot tub installed that has a spillover directly into the pool, which may help keep pool temperatures comfortable.

Add a Sauna

Saunas provide another great way to ease away aches and pains after a strenuous swim. Some people, however prefer to reverse the process and enjoy their sauna prior to taking a plunge in the pool. If you fall into this group, make sure that you wait for several minutes before entering the pool. Also, always drink at least eight ounces of water before relaxing in the sauna to avoid dehydration.

Add Interior Benches

Interior pool benches allows you and guests to have comfortable seating right inside your pool, providing an excellent option for relaxing at pool parties. Interior chairs and benches can be designed at different height to accommodate different shapes and sizes of people. Add soothing jets to the picture for ultimate luxury.

Add Lighting

A ring of solar spot lights around your pool imparts a subtle glow that enhances night swimming. You can also choose to have accent lights installed to draw attention to specimen plants in your poolside landscaping. Always include lighting for pathways to and from the pool to avoid after dark slip-and-fall accidents.

Add Custom Tile Work

Custom tile work can be used in a variety of ways to create a stunning statement and a personalized space. For instance, you may choose to have a tile mosaic installed on the bottom of your pool in your choice of imagery, or may decide to go with a pure, monochromatic clean look and have everything tiled in azure blue. You can also choose to have textured tiles installed around the pool to make surfaces as safe as possible.
